i think that i've lots to be grateful for these days. i've successfully completed my SMU interview though i'm not too sure how it'll turn out to be like but at least i tried my very best. and my student pass issue is solved and i'm going for a NTU lit interview next tues! as much as i will like them to just give me the place without this interview, it might be a good experience and maybe i'll enjoy it. but the only problem is my critical analysis skills are real rusty and i'm not confident of being able to do a decent piece of analysis within 3omins. so, i'll pray hard and study hard for the next few days (:

also, i finally found the fic i've been looking for!!! srsly, i've lost count of how many weeks i've been looking for that particular fic, all i remembered was tonnes of time have passed and i've browsed through alot of authors webpage and i finally found it again today, due to a recommendation. furthermore, it was from one of the author i really look up to. the whole irony lies in the fact that i checked this author's webpage a couple of times during these few weeks and i didn't notice it at all. anyway, i'm just happy now! LUCKY! yep so am gonna start on it now, and revel in my world of happiness and then start studying again.

hopefully, when i get more in touch with older literature works again, i can understand Pride & Prejudice more. idk why, but none of the words seem to be penetrating through my brain and instead they seem to just glaze over leaving me confused over the series of events that happened.

Interview Rants Part 2

I can't help but feel frustrated right now. All I wanted is to be left alone so that i can read a fic by an author that had a story I liked and wallow in self-pity. But it seems that everything is working against me, the fic's characterisation of the main leads riled me up in the wrong way and my mum thinks its a good idea to talk to me every few minutes. I know she means well, but seriously, its only going to end up with me snapping at her everytime she tries to ask me to do something. To add on, I've been procrastinating again. Promised myself that I will go and read up on the interview details at 3:30, then it dragged on to 4 and now its 7:30 and I've not accomplished anything yet.

To tell the truth, I don't know what else could I do anymore rather than adding on to the list that I've created. I cannot predict the questions so there's no point in trying to anymore and the whole asking an intelligent question thing is getting on my nerves a lot. Hello, what is the definition of an intelligent question? Something related to the course or some random world news related to IT? Honestly, I don't want to appear like a pompous git just because I decided to flaunt some knowledge or ask far-fetched questions in front of the examiners.

Fuck.

This interview thing is riling me up more than it should. Right now, I just feel like restarting the whole day again so I can read up bunch of news that might be useless to the cause just to make myself feel alot better.

I should go read up now. There'll be a Part 3 to the rants if everything goes well tmr.

At least, everything will be over by tomorrow, and I'm going to pray that it'll turn out well. I'm gonna be okay.

felt so much better after i had dinner and was given time to think. felt like an asshole today, but i guess i can't do anything to change what i've said/done so all i could do is be a better person tmr!
yea, am very grateful for the support im getting esp from my mum who's putting up with my temper and my friend who's answering tons of qns i bombarded at him.

SMU interview

Having a headache and feeling nauseous now. I'm not sure if its due to the lack of sleep thanks to my mum deciding to vacuum the floor at 6+ this morning allowing me to get a 3.5hrs of sleep only or due to my nervousness. I'm a bundle of nerves today, the worst kind.

I'm going to have my first education related interview in 2.5 days time and i don't think I'm up to it. My friends had been super encouraging and giving me tons of support and help, but I lack the confidence to do it. Even when i roughly know what the interview is about, how i should act in front of the interviewers, I don't have a script i can memorize like for PW. I tried asking myself some of the potential qns that might come out, and I realized my english is just plain awkward and I stammer too much. Its like half of the sentence is filled with stammering and erms which i'm sure they won't appreciate.

Furthermore, I tried looking back at some of my audition experiences(which isn't much) as a reference and I'm unable to deduct any conclusion on what should I do. Go there unprepared without thinking about what sort of qns might be asked and depend on my wits last min or spend too much time pondering now till all I can rmb during the interview is to think of what I thought of today instead of focusing on the situation? I really don't know. I was so excited when my friends helped me get sufficient info on the interview to get me through, but now I don't know how it will be an advantage for me since I have no idea how I'm suppose to make use of it. And it doesn't help that I don't know what I should wear without over-dressing and yet still impressing the interviewers. Its just a confusion plus another confusion that seems to make my mind explode(figuratively).

Also, there's the issue of scanning the pass port size photo which I haven't got to doing yet even though I was informed about it 1 week ago. First my scanner is not working, then now when its working, I've no idea where my photo is. I just don't know what to do. To add on, the worry of not working hard enough and failing is haunting me, and I don't want it to happen.

I just hope that everything will turn out well in the end on Thursday since it seems to be an important day in my life with all the appointments I have on that day. Hopefully, what my friend predicts come through, and I'll really jump about celebrating my success in securing a spot in SMU!

i hate this love song.

i simply have to share my love and opinions towards this song.

i think i can safely say that its my favorite Big Bang's song of the year.

Love Song is a very special song with a very untypical mv. strictly speaking, i don't think walking around constitutes to any part of forming a plot and unlike those plotless mvs that focus on every different member and changes scenes every few seconds, this mv felt as if it was done in a very perfect one shot. and like what Eat Your Kimchi mentioned, this mv really consists of a lot of symbolism depending on how you view it.

i think that the black and white tone of the mv is a absolutely ingenious idea. it builds up the depressing feeling brought about by the ruins and further emphasized the downcast mood. also the inability to properly discern any other colors other than black and grey is a revelation of the magnitude of sadness which made the world. in my opinion, the setting of this mv is a reflection of the mind of a person after being hurt by his loved one. the ruined and undesirable state of the settings is like how he would be feeling at that moment. broken and beyond repair. furthermore, i think it is further emphasized by the fact that the Big Bang members walked without interacting with each other. like despite having a different story and being different beings, the outcome of break up is still technically similar. it seems to be suggesting that this is a phase that everyone faces after they got dumped by their loved ones.

by the way, i absolutely love the fire at random places and the last car explosion scene. for me, the car explosion scene is a sign that the persona in the mv had finally start to recover. rather than the fire that have been burning, the explosion is more intense and can you imagine having a mind explosion? it will undoubtably bring you back to your senses and to me it is a sign of burning the past away.

for the lyrics, i absolutely adored the i hate this love song chant by GD. it is super hypnotic, even if you forget how the whole songs sounds like, you'll always remember this line. the intensity seems to be increasing with every line of i hate this love song, and the first time i heard it, i expected an outburst of emotions but instead it sort of died down with the last line. at first, i couldn't really understand why, but now, i think it fits the emotion flow of the song a lot and its wonderfully done.

so, i really feel that its an amazing song that i love a lot. and its kinda a miracle i managed to find a song i like so intensely since i've issues with quite a lot of songs that were released this year.

30 days of HP

am gonna do a 30 day of Harry Potter in a day again. i seem to have the tendency to do these challenges in the middle of the night secretly in the dark of my room when i'm supposed to be asleep. but i think its a very effective way to deal with insomnia, not that it helps but well its fun (:

and well, i'm doing all of it today because i can't wait to do Day 5 and i don't want to force myself to blog when i don't feel like it just to reach that day(actually the chances are pretty low since i seem to love blogging about random little stuff a lot).

Day 1: Your fave book. the 6th book. i don't really know how to explain, but i do think it is the book that intrigues me the most. putting aside the fact that it is mostly revolved around Draco(with Harry's obsession) and gives us a clearer picture of the boy that is only purely viewed as the nemesis in Harry's life, it is the most cruel book for me. it seems as though everything that was previously conceived was pulled apart brutally and every known fact needs to be reconsidered. such as Snape's betrayal even though its priorly staged and the Potions book. not to mention the absolutely horrifying Hocrux hunt. it seems as if this book is the book that really ripped away all the hope that readers had been harboring in their heart esp with Dumbledore's death. but i've to admit i loved this book so much because of Draco's development in character. his fear, uncertainty and devotion to his family is clearly portrayed in this book and well, he is my favorite character so that somehow works towards making this book my favorite.

Day 2: Your fave movie.

maybe the first or the second? i kind of like the settings in the first the most though. it is the movie that stuck to the book the most and i've to admit that i was shocked by how closely Daniel Radcliffe matched the image of Harry Potter in my mind.

Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book.

actually yes. i can't think of any specific parts or scenes, but the relationship between Harry and Hermoine in the 7th part 1 movie kind of disturbs me. seriously, if i'm not a good observer and a non-Harry Potter fan just watching the movie for fun, i'll think the two of them are dating instead.

yeahh, and the Ginny in the movie is just not as cool as the one in the book, i thought the kitchen scene was weird/awkward?

btw, i thought the way Death Eaters appear is very spirit-ish. they're like flying in the air? and i have quite a big problem with it.

Day 4: Least fave female character and why.

Bellatrix Lestrange. cause she's mentally unsound and i simply cannot understand her way of thinking. its screwed up in a very horrible way but i do think Helena Bonham Carter is a great actor and i love the way she portrays Bellatrix a lot.

Day 5: Fave male character and why.

Draco Malfoy.

cause i really admire his courage and dedication to his family that he portrayed in the 6th book. his fear of being in service to Voldemort is very palpable and yet underneath all those pressure he felt, the love for his family did not falter the slightest. no matter how unwilling he is, he still did it just to keep his parents alive. it might sound cowardly to do horrendous deeds just to stay alive, but i think thats a display of courage for him. and it is then when we manage to see him as something more than the git that always think superiorly of himself and allies himself with the Dark.

idk, i just love him lots.

Day 6: What house would you want to be in.

Slytherin?

not to mention Draco Malfoy is in it, but i think i could use a bit of subtleness and i think behind the cunning-ness there must be lots of cleverness so maybe i'll be able to think up of ingenious plans after i join it. even though i've no plans to conquer the world at all.

Day 7: Fave female character and why.

Luna Lovegood.

i think she's a fascinating character. she seems to be always dreamy and spouting stuff that no one could understand at all, but for her to be in Ravenclaw, there must be a real good reason unless the Sorting Hat went crazy. i prefer to believe that in fact she's not as delusional(?) as she seems to be instead she is a character that has her own view towards a lot of things and have lots of brains but its all hidden beneath her weird actions.

Day 8: What do you think would be your fave lesson. ermm, Astronomy?

but i've to admit that the conversation between young Albus and Harry is very much appreciated by me. i thought it was real nice (:

CSC notes

just flipped through my notebook to see if i can find place to write my version of Jane Eyre's translation since i dont think i'll be able to rmb anything at all if its in Bahasa Indonesia and i found my csc/cll/lit notes (: and out of the 3 i have to say im very very proud of my csc notes.

cll's kinda short since i was trying to write out the stuff i rmbed regarding certain topics while lit's used during consultations to copy down notes. but im ttly proud of my csc notes.

there's around 15 pages of it and its sorta my second draft. i compiled it after reading all my notes and consulted the teacher then transferred it to the notebook. even though i've to admit i wasted around 3-4days to compile one big file+a bit more of notes but the end is pretty worth it! (: am very proud of it and myself!

hahas, sort of wished that i did it for all my subjects so that maybe i'll have done better, esp for lit since its so compile-able, but then ohwell at least i've sth to the proud of! and amazingly its the subject that i've dreaded attending for 2 years that i did best in.

on a side note, i've to admit i started doing the notes because i was sick and tired of my studying time passing so slowly when i was only reading, so i decided to write notes to make time pass faster. haha, ironic much that it ended up well.

Memories.

memories are somewhat a funny thing.
there are some where the images are so vivid that you think you'll never forget them while there's others which you strongly want to hold onto and yet the just slip away from your mind.
and all that you're left with is the emotions that coursed through you during that particular occasion with no solid memories of what is it that made you happy/sad/excited.
and so, maybe that's why they are such an amazing part of life.

i think my mum just read an old diary of mine. and i think she thinks i've a crush on a boy now. /: and its real awkward since i can't ask her about it and this also means that i couldn't tell her that's an old journal and i've my new one stashed somewhere. and this somehow means that she might have read all those weird stories i wrote last time or seen all the weird anime drawings that i did. AIGU. what should i do? next time, i'll make sure i keep all of them properly somewhere. (sigh

I do think this is the album that allowed them to showcase their talents the most and had the highest numbers of good songs. all the songs are nice and pleasing in their own way, and they'll somehow grow on you(not the become bearable kind, but the woah, why didn't i think this song is good kind). also, i think that its the album thats most complete in the sense that most of the songs are original and appealing, and it showcases the members talents wonderfully.

i am such a major loser.

i started tearing after i saw Only You live on a real old episode of Mcountdown that tvn is replaying. ): idk why, but after understanding the lyrics and the immense difference between the emotions that the tune and lyrics convey, this song had become more special for me. and i guess, Jay played a factor too(a major one i think, i love them still even as separate entity, but it saddens me somehow when i know that i wouldn't see the boy who shaved 2PM in his hair and performed so energetic-ly on stage with the rest of his members). seeing them perform with all 7 members on TV is sth i never got to experience before and it somehow touched me the first time i see the perf of 10 out of 10, but Only You is the song that will really make you feel more melancholic.

and i'm always touched when i see videos of g.o.d and 2PM performing together since they're two of my fave groups(and it had been one of my biggest dream), but i never thought i'll be able to see it on tv or start crying when i saw it.

i'm really such a loser, but the emotions just sort of build up. you just feel touched by it somehow. and luckily, they're not performing one candle, if not i think i'll be in a more undesirable state.

but i loved to mother that they're performing too. its such a meaningful song, and listening to it really serves as a reminder for everyone to be more thankful to everything our mother's did for us and not take them for granted.

i've officially added another concert or live performance that i need to watch. srsly, i rant about g.o.d and how i love them so much that my mum remembers them despite being mildly shocked by the fact that i like such an old band.

but they are love. really. all of them that i hold precious to my heart. SUJU, 2PM, Jay, g.o.d & MBLAQ. i can only say that i'm the proudest, Hottest A+ ELF who is a Jaywalker that is a fan of g.o.d. (:

this made me tear up a bit when i saw it just now. ): the one who did this was just a genius and it is so so TRUE(i can't find a better word for it). i've not been there since the beginning but i will want to be there at the end. (:
